Annulment

What is an Annulment?

An annulment treats the marriage as if it never happened; however, there are certain criteria that must be met in order to seek or obtain an annulment, including:

  • Fraud

  • Misrepresentation prior to the marriage

  • Refusal or inability to consummate the marriage

  • Concealment of an addiction

Some people believe that annulments will be available only if they haveĀ been married for a short time; however, the duration of a marriage is not a factor in the determination of whether an annulment is available. Even if you have been married for a while, you may still be eligible for an annulment if even one of the numerous elements for an annulment is met. Experienced attorney Stephanie Pollard can help you determine if an annulment is proper for your circumstances.
